Design a Vinyl Sleeve for Kevin Dean's record
For this Typography Project, we collaborated with Bent River Records to design a vinyl album cover for a real-life client, Kevin Dean, a gifted jazz musician whose persona radiates blues, jazz and soul. After meeting Dean in an online class interview, I studied his album attentively. The fluctuation in rhythms ranged from upbeat to methodical throughout the album. The colours I chose were bold which balanced the lighthearted illustrations where I combined paint, charcoal and pen. The texture gave the album a dynamic scene of contemplation and creation that jazz emulates from his album.
